I enjoyed this book very much it hold your interest all through the whole book. I would recommend this book
I've read all Teresa Mederios' books, and love them all. I had forgotten how feisty and funny her heroines were.
As you can tell I am a fan of Deveraux. I only like her Regency and Scottish historical books and this one is one of her best. I downloaded on my and then bought the book to add to my collection of her books. She is truly a talented author and one you should try if you have never read her books.
My all time favorite romance novel, and the sole reason I'm dying to visit Scotland. Theresa Medeiros writes romance like nobody's business!
Let me start by saying I love all her stories I've read to date. This one, not so much. The story itself was amazing! Love the way the Hero and Heroine meet and enjoyed their bantering. They were written so well! The EB and flow of their relationship really pulls your heartstrings.
My main issue, that I will admit I couldn't get past, was with the side story of Kerr's relationship with Prue's aunt. Spoiler time I'm sorry, but I don't know anyone who would give someone had slept with their aunt the time of day!! That whole situation just dainted everything for me. That she would willingly keep encouraging him was unbelievable to me. Also, Prue only thought of it in reference to not wanting to hurt her aunt, not the sceeviness of the whole situation.
Call me crazy but I couldn't get past that subplot. Otherwise excellent read!
I have this book in paperback. I want to think that I bought it about 8 - 10 yrs ago +/-. I read it a couple of times and then put it in my box of favorite stories. Recently I started thinking of this story again and I now have it on my kindle. Just read it again after yrs had past since my last reading. I loved reading it again. I have other books by Teresa and really love them.
